Becoming More Like Christ

As my version goes, da Vinci decided to use living models of Jesus and His 12 apostles when he was painting the Last Supper. He first painted Judas Iscariot when he saw a man whose face appeared vicious, malicious and avaricious.
For the next three years, he found other men who appeared like each of the other eleven apostles. When he was done painting the last apostle, he saw a man whose face looked like that of Jesus: loving, hopeful and peaceful.
As he was being painted as Jesus, the man asked da Vinci, "Do you know who I am?"
"No, I don't know you," da Vinci replied.
"Well," the man said, "I am the same man you painted as Judas Iscariot three years ago."
While that story is fictional as I have said, it teaches us two lessons: that the appearance of our faces reflects the condition of our souls, and that it is never too late to change our character.
So let's strive to become more like Christ. How? By studying and meditating on Scripture which leads to an inner transformation that can make us radiate love, hope and peace.
